Tar waxing is an old and reliable way to prepare wooden skis but of course you can wax your Tegsnäs skis in the same way you wax other skis.
It´s important that the skis are dry and room tempered when you start.
Apply a string of tar on the ski base. Heat the tar with a blowtorch to fluidify it.
Heat one section (approx. 2-3 dm) and spread the tar with a soft cloth. Continue over the whole base.
Repeat until the base is saturated.
At the left an unprepared ski, in the middle a ski that has been waxed twice and at the right a ski waxed five times.
Spread out a thick layer of tar at the end of every season and let it dry in the sun. The surface becomes a bit uneven, but the ski will perform excellent in all conditions.
